tulie bakery
i've posted about half the menu already... so i figured it was about time i talked about tulie bakery.
where do i start? the beignets are fresh and light, the chocolate bouchons are rich and heavenly, and even the avocado toast is a delight to the taste buds. (check out the rest of the menu here.)
my apologies for the darkness of this picture. but that's not what matters right now.
tulie has a vast variety of pastries and goodies. you can't go wrong with anything you order.
i must warn you of two things, though: 1) be careful how many things you buy. it's practically impossible to stand by the case of food for two minutes and not have list of 20 items you want to get. everything is just so... amazing. don't be afraid to try new things, but don't refrain from getting something you know you like more that once. 2) tulie bakery is not... how do i put this... consistent. there are many items on their menu that they may have one week, but they don't have the next. for instance, the first time i went to tulie they had eclairs, but i haven't seen them since. i personally don't mind the changes in the menu, as it allows me to have the opportunity to try something new without being tempted to get something i've already had.
there are many options at tulie. you can get a fresh, warm baked good OR buy a package of ready-made shortbread (pictured above). there are a couple other ready-to-go items, such as bread or pound cake.
this is just a little peak at what i ate on today's visit. mmm, mmm, mmm...
