sweet lake biscuits and limeade
it's been a crazy week, and this morning i much needed a breakfast run (but let's be honest, i always need to hop in the car and go to breakfast.) today's destination? sweet lake biscuits and limeade!
pictured above is the hoss. how do i describe it?
it's a crispy, flavorful hunk of fried chicken draped in a melted slice of cheddar cheese. it's two perfectly cooked pieces of bacon underneath a tasty egg cooked over easy (or over hard if you are me. am i the only one?)
and all of that goodness is sandwiched between two flakey, soft, golden biscuits and set on top of a bed of sausage gravy, and garnished with with green onion.
just looking back at these pictures is making me want to grab the keys and zoom back over for another one.
ok, we've covered the biscuits; time for the limeade. they have a few different options (you can find those here). I chose one of the most basic versions, raspberry limeade.
but there's nothing basic about it. see for yourself:
yep, those are real raspberry's and a real lime. fresh made limeade was never this fresh. and you can't even see the sprig of mint at the bottom.
i'll see you at sweet lake!
